Oxford Street Safety Strategy Workshop

The Darlinghurst Business Partnership is honoured to offer you the opportunity to take part in developing an Oxford Street Precinct Safety Plan.
You are invited to a 1.5 hour workshop to help co-design an approach to ensure the Oxford Street Precinct a safe place to visit, live, play, study or work. The workshop will include what you love about the precinct and what you’d like to see change to improve safety in the local area, day and night.

Tuesday 30th May - Gingers Bar
(upstairs at the Oxford Hotel, Taylor Square)
Refreshments and food will be served from 6pm
Workshop starts 6:30pm on the dot

The City of Sydney is working with local Police and community to develop this plan  as part of council’s commitment under the Oxford Street LGBTIQA+ Social and Cultural Place Strategy  

The Place Strategy outlines the City’s approach to recognising and preserving the LGBTIQA+ history of Oxford Street, maintaining contemporary LGBTIQA+ character, increasing spaces for LGBTIQA+ culture, and keeping community connected and safe.  

The workshop will be facilitated by Bek Martin, Safe City Manager & Marika Taylor, Project Manager Safe City, at the City of Sydney.  The role of the Safe City team is to improve actual and perceived safety, ensuring Sydney is a safe city for all.
