Darlinghurst needs an informed voice!

The volunteer board of the DBP (all local small business folk) is and has been actively involved in advocacy for Darlinghurst for many years.

We usually run quarterly networking nights (no name tags :) for local businesses (anyone with an ABN), have a well-developed Eastside Sydney Destination Marketing Strategy with the Potts Point Partnership and Surry Hills Creative Precinct and instead of doing big festivals that compete with local traders we believe in encouraging local businesses to collaboratively work on creative events with their neighbours and this culminates in Oxtravaganza once a year in the middle week of Mardi Gras.

We are currently working on ways to adapt to the new business conditions presented by the pandemic lockdown, as well as keeping in touch with local businesses and conditions on the ground; offering information and support where and when we can.

All of these initiatives are made possible lots of volunteer labour by locals who love their neighbourhood and generous grants from the City of Sydney.

DBP is also a member of the NSW State Business Chamber, and If you join us get access to a bunch of entitlements including Legal & Marketing advice and access to the Business Advice Line.

As a member the least you have to do is join and be happy that we are out there doing the things we do or you can become as involved as you want. This might not sound like much, but the more supportive members we have, the greater the ability we have to affect positive change in our environment.

There are three levels of membership:

General Member - Small Indie/Single Franchise (FREE during lockdown)

National Associate Member - Australian Chain ($275 / year)

Global Associate Member - International Chain ($2750 / year)
